The wound needs to b properly cleaned under running water as a first aid n if need it shud b sutured for proper healing. Anti rabies vaccination shud b taken properly without fail.
If u still feel to ask some queries. Please call me or contact me
It is a Dog bite... and a open wound. Just do wash it thoroughly with soap water and let it be open. No suturing, no dressing. Apply betadine ointment, take anti inflammatory medicines like T.Combiflam thrice daily. You might require Rabies immunoglobulin. Please do visit a nearby Govt. Medical College Hospital for the same.
If swelling increases you will have to take antibiotics. After examining the wound it can be given as either tablets or by intravenous injection.
Hi dear
It looks like a bit deep wound please take him to a nearby hospital and get his dressing done . Once u can see how the dressing is being done then next time u can do it at home as well
Yes he might require antibiotic for prevention of other infections
Take care
No need to worry about swelling it will subside
For wound proper cleaning must
Do not apply bandage
Just Clean wound with iodine and wash
Take antibiotics to avoid infection
