This is commonly seen in women. Usually, they regularly oil their hair but wash their hair only once a week. The oil forms a film on their scalp and traps the dead skin, sweat and grime underneath this layer. This is a good substrate for skin fungi and dandruff. When she washes her hair, the oil film is disrupted and the fungal spores are released into the air around get as an invisible plume and this is an allergen. When it comes in contact with conjunctiva, it causes eye itching, eye redness and even profuse tearing. When the spores are inhales, they cause your nose to become stuffy, runny and induce sneezing bouts. As these spores reach the lungs, they may even cause bronchospasm and wheezing!
