Meditation is like water. It's essential, good, healthy and can prevent so many illness. Simple but best. But if you are hungry you would need food. In a similar way if your impulsivity is in a severe spectrum, it will need medications. So it all depends on the severity of impulsivity, the cause of impulsivity. Meditation is definitely good. But the question is that is it an all cure.. sadly answer is no.

Meditation is not just spiritual; it has scientific evidence showing benefit for stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, attention, and sometimes impulsivity. However, results can vary from person to person, and it is usually considered a supportive tool rather than a complete replacement for medical treatment.
Next Steps
If impulsivity is causing significant problems, proper assessment for underlying conditions like ADHD, anxiety, mood issues, personality traits, or stress is important. Treatment may include therapy, lifestyle changes, and sometimes medicines depending on the cause. Meditation can be added as a supportive practice.
Health Tips
Mindfulness meditation and breathing exercises may help improve pause-control and emotional awareness over time. Benefits are usually gradual and require regular practice for weeks to months. Not every type of meditation suits everyone; guided mindfulness is often easier for beginners. Good sleep, exercise, structured routine, and therapy often work better when combined with meditation. If meditation increases distress or overthinking, discuss it with your mental health professional.
