Do excessive frequent coughing cause 🩸?
Hey doc, i have ocd so i did frequent intentional coughs. And got bleeding like in august,December 2025 once. Then in january and march 2026 once. Whenever I do not cough I don't get any blood. During feb 27- march 5 2026, i had a cold and cough. At that time I didn't get any blood. Is it normal to get a little streak whenever we cough hard and intentionally many times? I also have a history of smoking from 2019-2022= 3 a day 2024 aug-2026 march= 9 a day. So I was worried that maybe my smoking had caused CA.

Smoking cause cause damage to your mucosa due to which it becomes very fragile and congested Hence when you sneeze or cough forcefully , there might be some capillary rupture and there can be blood streaks Just by this symptom, we cannot say its cancer For now avoid smoking since this is the trigger

You should consult a nearby ENT for full endoscopic evaluation, just because you are getting blood on coughing is not cancer there are many other reasons for that but full evaluation should be done just to rule out the cause
Next Steps
Avoid doing strenous coughing as it causes friction of mucosa
