Do chemical peel damage skin?

I just wanted to know that is chemical peeling safe and good .. or do this damage the skin .. chemical peeling reduces the pimples wrinkles but does this has any side effects

Hello ! Chemical peels are a good treatment option for many conditions. However, there are many different types of peels such a TCA, salicylic acid peel, glycolic etc. Each has different concentrations and must be used very carefully as the depth of peel and concentration is different for different conditions. In the hands of experts, they are a good option. Caution must be exercised in those with sensitive skin or darker skin as it may lead to hyperpigmentation after the procedure. You should discuss your fears and doubts with the dermatologist on any procedure, before getting them done. All the best !
