Disc prolapse and foot swelling
My mother suffering from disk prolapse from last 12 weeks , we consulted neuro surgeon he written some medicine and suggested some exercise she taking medicines from 5 weeks and she doing exercises from one week.now her foot swelling from last 3 weeks , few days swelling and few days nothing, is there anything going injuries in nerves or what??

if she got only back pain - physio will do. if she got leg pain as well - she might benefit from traction and physio. once pain settled then do back muscle strengthening exercises. Drink plenty of water to avoid any dehydration because dehydrated disc is more prone to injury. If leg pain not settles - she might benefit from nerve root block. please check kidney function - foot swelling some times might be due to pain killers induced kidney problem.
