Disc Desiccation and Bulge
Hi Everyone, I’m reaching out for some guidance as I’m feeling extremely stressed and low. I’m a new mom to a 5-month-old baby and had a normal delivery. I had meniscus tear surgery 10 years ago and was advised to avoid high-impact activities, squatting, or sitting with folded legs due to ongoing wear and tear with small tear found out 3 years ago. Last week, I experienced severe lower back pain that left me unable to get out of bed or walk. After consulting a doctor and doing an MRI, results shows disc issues (bulging, extrusion) and early arthritis in lower back. These are pressing on nerves and causing mild to moderate nerve compression, I’m really struggling emotionally — I can’t lift or care for my baby, and I’m still walking bent to one side with great difficulty getting out of bed. With my old knee issue and now this disc desiccation and bulge, I’m feeling hopeless. : How to you manage this pain? Will I be able to recover and get back to normal life?

Recovery depends on lot of factors, like the amount of nerve compression. So you should be physically examined first by an orthopedic surgeon who is specialising in spine. If there is not much of compression then you can go ahead with some medications then physio.
