Diarrhoea in 5 month old baby
My baby boy is having diarrhoea since 7 days
I have given zinc droplets and probiotics now doctor has prescribed Cifixime antibiotic and it's third day but I am not seeing any relief in frequent watery stool
The baby is otherwise healthy , having enough pee and playing around

Kindly continue with the same management for at least 5days in total.
Make sure the diet that you are giving to the baby during this phase of diarrhoea is only simple home made food like rice and dal, khichdi or rice and curd.
Make sure you give enough fluids(ORS, coconut water) and avoid giving complex carbs.

If the baby is still having loose motions with no change in frequency or consistency after 5days of treatment, do give a visit to your doctor as there might be a need for evaluation like stool examinations and others.
