My baby is 3.5 months and 5.8 kg. I am traveling and she is having loose motions. First day around 15 she had. My padeatrician suggested walmycin sysp and enterogermina aqua. I gave her enterogermina for 2 days but didnt give atibiotics as she is infant. She was ok next day. Around 5 motions she is passing. But its still loose. Should i continue only enterogermina or should i give antibiotics.

It’s always better to wait for the antibiotics as you have smartly analysed . The fact that the frequency has reduced is a good sign. Loose motions happen during traveling as the child is stressed out and its immunity gets lower. Make sure u feed the baby more regularly than usual since dehydration is the main enemy.
Next Steps
If the baby is active continue the same medicine your doc suggested for another three days. If the child becomes drowsy or less active and feverish then consult someone so he can examine the state of dehydration.
Health Tips
If the baby is active and drinking milk well. It will defiantly get better

If the symptoms are improving, then continue enterogermina. If the loose motions worsen then start antibiotics. Keep a watch on the urine output.
Next Steps
1)visit the doctor if feeding decreases and the urine output is low. 2) Get the stool test done if loose motions persists.
Health Tips
1)The stools are normally semi-solids in nature when the child is only on milk feeds. Dont misinterpret as loose stools...2) If the child is feeding well and the urine output is good; dont worry.
