Baby had high fever of 103
So Doctor gave P 250 suspension and augmentin Duo.
Fever came down to normal but baby has watery stools more than 10 times
Does antibiotics causes diarhea ...should we stop the antibiotics or continue the course

Augmentin can cause diarrhoea. Stop augmentin, give ors after every loose motions , Enterogermina half ampoule twice a day for 3 days. Syp zinconia 2.5 ml twice a day for 14 days.

Yes watery stools may be due to the antibiotic. A probiotic should control it. Please consult your Pediatrician

U can ask the paediatrician for some probiotic to help with the diarrhoea
