Diabetic and still born baby

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I am a prediabetic , and my pregnancy was healthy with controlled sugar levels, I have been admitted at 38 weeks l day (16th Oct) as movements were decreased and was scheduled for c section on 17th Oct and before surgery doctor declared that my baby boy is no more. What are the possibilities for such still birth, please tell me so that I will be much careful the next time. I am totally confused and could not get over the thoughts.
