Diabetes is not just high blood sugar. There are over 50 different types of diabetes and the treatment of diabetes needs to be individualized for every patient. There are a few AYUSH medicines that are promoted by govt but they lack the scientific evidence to back them. These medicines are often tried in very small number of patients and do not have any scientific explanation about their mechanism of action. I personally do not discourage patients from using it provided there blood sugar levels are controlled and the patient is being regularly monitored for various complications of diabetes.
