Depression symptoms
I have been feeling very low since a month. Excessive sleeping, tiredness and heavy head throughout the day. Loss of appetite, pins and needles sensation if I sit in a position only for 10 mins, body ache, having a feeling of crying at any moment, not wanting to take calls from anyone. Not being able to concentrate on anything and just addicted to the phone all day. These are some of the things that I am feeling and I wanted to know how to get rid of this.

Hi. I am sorry you are struggling for a month. I understand this can be hard. You may want to explore WHY are you feeling like this. Examples- 1. Was there a big life change? 2. Any changes in your routine/ work/ family/ relationships? 3. Were you COVID-19 positive and are these after effects of that? 4. Did something drastically impact you or bother you? 5. Are there things you are getting reminded of? You can ask yourself the above questions to understand yourself better. In the meantime, you can try: 1. Getting a full body check up (especially Vit D and Vit B12 levels) 2. Consult a psychologist for counseling/ psychotherapy 3. Try deep breathing (guided meditations available on YouTube) 4. Connecting with a trusted adult 5. Staying hydrated throughout the day 6. Eat a balanced homemade diet 7. Fix a sleep- wake routine 8. Spend some time in the sun For daily mental health tips and insights, follow @TherapywithShaurya on Instagram. Hope this helps, take good care.

Hi... Counselling/Psychotherapy is the best treatment to get over these early signs and symptoms of Depression. It will help you identify your core issues and will help you build the necessary skills and strength to deal with them. It is a process of recovery which is more experiential. The sooner you start, the easier it will be to treat you.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Guidance and Motivational Counselling is required.

What you are feeling sounds like symptoms of depression. But until you meet a licensed clinical psychologist we cannot give you an authentic diagnosis here. Depression requires proper intervention and treatment from a psychologist.
Next Steps
But if you do not want to go for therapy, then you can try out a few things like: - try to break your thought pattern cycle by distracting yourself, or by writing about it and gaining clarity on it. - try to get yourself to be more proactive - by including walking into your routine, a healthy diet is equally important (any diet without junk food), try to make time for hobbies. - try to create a routine in your life. - set a usage limit on your phone. Leaving the phone aside could be difficult and so try to replace it by doing other things that you liked or enjoyed. - speak to close friends and family. People with whom you are comfortable with and who make you feel heard. - Lastly, you could also find a few self-help books online that might be able to help you. - Most importantly get a Complete blood checkup - because a lot of the times, low HB, or Low B12, and/or low Vitamin D can lead to similar symptoms of depression in a person. And would require other forms of treatment.
Health Tips
The symptoms that you shared will take time to go and will need to be patient with it. But Ideally,
