Sir I am a old patient and diagnosed by my doctor and he recommended daxid 50 mg daily twice for 120 days and said to quit. during lock down due to stressful problem relapsing. recently I am suffering from sleeping disturbance with negative thoughts during night. I am again continuing daxid 50mg but after taking medicine at night I sleep for 2 to 3 hours and automatically I wake up with breathing problem. due to this my body is imbalanced and unable to concentrate. I am asking for your suggestions that during depression period may I indulge in masturbation to release my sexual desire though I am still unmarried. please me in this regards.hope for early response. thanking you sir

Depression needs a treatment of minimum 6wks with adequate dose. You may require dose escalation or augmentation of medication. A scoring for depression may help assess severity of symptoms, there are some self rating questionnaire for the same. Sexual dysfunction is a known side effect of antidepressants.
