I feel unhappy even though there is no reason to be unhappy. I don't see any future. I feel claustrophobic. Feel like everything is gloomy . When I was at home I wanted to get out and now I'm away from home and I want to go back home, I'm so confused, I don't know what to do with my life anymore

Dear mam I can see that you are quite distressed Feeling sad and restless, lack of interest in things, irritability, mood swings, getting hopeless, low energy, disturbed sleep and appetite are all symptoms of depression. Please see a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation. Treatment usually consists of medications as well as psychological therapy. I am certain that you will feel better with right treatment and support. Please see a psychiatrist immediately if you are having thoughts of harming yourself. Regards Dr Ankita Mishra

Hello practo user I can understand the dilemma you have been facing in your life. It seems that you are a sensitive person and unable to hold to your decisions . You can try and talk to your close family members and friends daily to be in touch with them and get encouragement from them . Try and make an interest list of all the activities which make you happy , try and do atleast one of them each day . Practice deep breathing and meditation or join some aerobics or Zumba class, there you can meet people and at the same time maintain your health . Avoid eating high carbohydrates and sugar as they can fluctuate your mood . It is advisable that you seek help from a clinical psychologist for a better understanding of your case and formulation of a personalized treatment plan through regular psychotherapy sessions. You can also reach out to me through the practo app for any further help or guidance.
