It is embarrassing situation isn't it! Considering your values and beliefs you have the liberty to take a call whether you want to be at risk to get a certificate or safeguard your integrity. You may politely request your college to change the workplace without revealing this issue as things might work against you. Internship, certificate, job etc can have alternatives but your self respect, dignity, integrity may not have alternatives. I would suggest to handle this subtly and get out of the embarrassment
