Hi...Young adults pursuing a competitive career/peer group often go through such a phase where they tend to start feel overwhelmed and even suicidal at times. But I have seen several young adults overcoming such issues with Psychotherapy/Counselling. In some cases medication is also introduced where necessary. It can happen due to various reasons including, but not limited to, psychosocial factors, genetics, biological factors, etc. Treatment requires proper diagnosis followed by Medication and/or Psychotherapy.
