Depression and anxiety
Hii, I am 19 yrs old working full time. And also juggling my college and living alone. Since my childhood i have been neglected by my family. Never received appreciation or support. I struggled in making friends, was bullied. Later at a point to please and gain people's sympathy i used to sing my sob story to them. Used to make false scenarios to gain more and more sympathy. Now i am at a point where i can't feel anything. I feel numb most of the time. It is taking a hit on my health aswell. I am suffering from constant low blood pressure, weakness and constipation. Please help. I am losing myself in an abyss

Hi. First, I want to acknowledge your courage for writing this. At just 19, you’re carrying the weight of emotional neglect, childhood bullying, loneliness, and now the pressure of juggling work, college, and living alone — that’s a lot for any one person. The fact that you’ve developed ways to cope, even if through telling painful or exaggerated stories, shows a deep desire to be seen and heard — something you never got when you needed it most. That wasn’t manipulation — it was survival. You were trying to find connection in a world that had denied you warmth. This emotional numbness you’re feeling now — it’s your mind’s way of protecting you from the exhaustion of constantly trying to feel okay when things haven’t been. But numbness doesn’t mean you’re empty. It means your system is overloaded. The physical symptoms — low blood pressure, weakness, constipation — are your body’s SOS signals, telling you it’s time to pause and prioritize healing. You’re not broken, but you are deeply tired and emotionally wounded. You need a safe, consistent space — therapy — to untangle these layers, rebuild a sense of self, and start feeling again, not just functioning. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five. You’re not alone anymore. I see you. And we can work through this, together.
