Hello. Scaling and polishing is a painless professional teeth cleaning treatment. During Scaling, the hard substance accumulated in the teeth, also called as tartar is removed. Accumulation of tartar/plaque leads to further problems like periodontitis, bleeding gums, loosening of teeth, bad oral hygiene, bad mouth odor and unhealthy gums and teeth. It is advised to get scaling done once in every 6 months in order to maintain healthy firm gums and teeth.
