Wife is 30 weeks
pregnant. She wishes to have her delivery at her parents location. Until now we were seeing MBBS, MD Gynaecologist but now due to change in location, she is seeing a registered BAMS doctor who is prescribing allopathic medication. I have a few questions
1. Is a registered BAMS doctor authorised to prescribe regular allopathic medicine during pregnancy like multivitamins etc which are generally prescribed by modern medicine practitioners.
2. Is a registered BAMS doctor authorised to conduct deliveries. Like few BAMS doctors in collaboration with MBBS doctors open hospitals and conduct regular deliveries.
3. Importantly insurance claims be accepted by the company , provided the documents like prescriptions, patient file, medical notes, discharge slip and all other documents will be signed and stamped by the BAMS doctor.
Please guide.
