At 30 weeks of pregnancy, your symptoms (sore throat, green phlegm, voice loss for 2 days) are most likely due to a viral upper respiratory infection Green phlegm does NOT necessarily mean bacterial infection What you should do now: Warm fluids, steam inhalation Salt water gargles Voice rest When antibiotics may be needed: Only if you develop: High fever Severe throat pain with pus (suggesting bacterial tonsillitis) Symptoms persisting >5–7 days or worsening (avoid self-medication—consult a doctor before starting)
Health Tips
When to seek urgent care: Difficulty breathing Persistent high fever Reduced fetal movements
