"If you have completed the full Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) schedule after a scratch, your body has already developed the necessary protective antibodies to neutralize the virus. Rabies has a variable incubation period, but once the vaccination course is complete and five months have passed without symptoms, the risk of developing the disease from that specific incident is effectively zero
Next Steps
Relax and Move On:, you are protected. The physical symptoms of rabies are aggressive and rapid; they do not 'hide' for 5 months after a full vaccination course. Immunity for Future: You now have 'Pre-exposure' level immunity. If you ever have a future encounter with a suspected animal, you will only need 2 booster doses instead of the full course. Lifestyle Note: Anxiety can often mimic physical symptoms. If you feel 'tingling' or 'heaviness' in the scratch area now, it is likely psychological or a minor nerve irritation, not rabies.
Health Tips
For a detailed explanation of how the vaccine 'races' the virus or advice on managing health-related anxiety, you can consult me directly through my profile.

No, it's not rabies. Kindly consult a dermatologist if the scratch is itchy, spreading to new places, increasing in size.
