Issue: My periods are irregular and I'm having a LOT of difficulty trying to lose weight. For reference, I have been going through a lot so I will mention it here: When I went to get checked why my periods are missing, I came to know after doing a bloodtest in April that I was in the subclinical hypothyroid range, and I was in the Prediabetic range, and my right foot top area (below my first four toes) has been swollen since May 2025. Due to that I cannot gym or exercise and my schedule is too mentally exhausting to go for walks though I am considering it. I wake up in the afternoon and have breakfast at that time and skip lunch and then directly tea and a biscuit or snacks, then dinner. I stopped eating desserts and have more control on diet and still I am not losing weight nor getting my periods since November. PLEASE HELP!! 🙏🏻 Suggest me dietary supplements or changes that will induce periods please. As well as for weight loss what do I do?

Based on the details, the most likely contributors to absent/irregular periods and difficulty losing weight are a combination of subclinical hypothyroidism, insulin resistance (prediabetes), possible PCOS, poor sleep–wake cycle, and low physical activity.
Irregular eating timing (waking late, skipping meals) and chronic stress further worsen hormonal imbalance.
Foot swelling is not normal and needs evaluation (thyroid, kidney, venous or inflammatory cause).
Diet control alone often does not restore periods unless the underlying hormonal issues are treated.
Next Steps
1. Repeat & complete blood tests
• TSH, Free T4
• Fasting glucose, HbA1c, fasting insulin
• LH, FSH, Prolactin
• Total testosterone / DHEAS
• Lipid profile
• Vitamin D, B12
2. Pelvic ultrasound → rule out PCOS
3. Consult physician/endocrinologist
• Subclinical hypothyroidism may still need treatment if symptomatic
• Prediabetes often needs metformin + lifestyle correction
4. Evaluate foot swelling urgently
• Check kidney function, urine routine, thyroid status, local foot exam
Health Tips
• Fix sleep cycle: wake up before 9 am daily
• 3 proper meals/day (do not skip lunch)
• Plate method:
• ½ vegetables
• ¼ protein (eggs, dal, paneer, chicken, fish)
• ¼ whole carbs (roti, brown rice)
• Avoid biscuits, packaged snacks, sugary tea
• Walk 10–15 min after meals (even indoors)
• If gym not possible → chair exercises, resistance band, yoga
