Delayed periods (if not pregnancy) can be due to stress or some hormonal in balance... need to get one pelvic ultrasound and detailed blood hormonal evaluation done to know the cause

Delayed cycles may be due to stress or hormonal imbalances , a detailed evaluation is needed, which included history , examination and blood tests with a scan . Also since u r newly married and if you dont want to plan pregnancy for some time u can be prescribed more reliable contraceptives depending on your test reports which will take care of both your cycles and contraception.  You should take a gynaecologist consult.
