Deficiency with B12
Let me know how to control vitamin B12, as I was tested last week and got 110pgml. Which is very less. I want to know what are it's serious effect and how to get control and get normal range. I am a vegetarian. Thanks

You need to take Methylcobalamine capsules 1500 mcg per day for six weeks. Repeat you B12 levels after 6 weeks and if it is still low injectable therapy may be considered. Include Vitamin b12 rich foods in your diet like milk and milk products (Cheese), Soya, Eggs. Fish, Liver and shell fish if you are a non vegetarian

Hi, Most of the vegetarians do get vit. B12 deficiency as vit B12 is naturally found in animal products. Deficiency may lead on to cause anemia, neuropathy etc. So you need to take supplements of vit. B12 with folic acid.
