Decreased hearing

Asked for Male, 33 Years

Hi, after hearing some loud conversations in home, i am feeling decreased hearing. Audiogram test shows results are normal. Still I am wearing ear muff for protection in home and outside to reduce noise. Please let me know if wearing ear muff all the time helps prevent hearing loss.

Long term use of ear muffs may be counterproductive as it can cause ear infections. It has no role in prevention of hearing loss. Usually normal pure tone audiogram virtually rules out any significant hearing loss
