There can be several causes why your skin would turn dark or you may get pigmentation. Sun tan, overweight, pigmentation disorders like acanthosis nigricans or melasma, nutritional deficiency etc are some conditions. Unless someone examines you, we cannot know the cause. Unless we find out the cause it is difficult and pointless to treat. Please call me or send photos with detailed history using online consult option for examination and proper treatment.,

Hello, PCOD is a multifactorial syndrome and weight loss is one of the first steps in its management. You are definitely on the right path. Pcos is often associated with a skin condition called Acanthosis Nigricans, which presents as darkening of the skin with a velvety look in areas such as neck, underarms, thighs etc. Correct treatment of pcod, detection and correction of underlying hormonal imbalances, along with lifestyle changes can bring about an improvement in your overall health as well as reduction of the Acanthosis which may be contributing to your darkening. Consult further with photographs or meet a doctor for best guidance.
Next Steps
Continue weight loss and diet modifications
Health Tips
Consider visiting endocrinologist and dermatologist for correct guidance.
