Dark sour painless bump on roof of mouth
I discovered a bump on the roof of the mouth that; - has been there for about 3-5 days (can't be sure). - I paid attention to it since it hasn't changed in this time. - Doesn't hurt and no obstruction. - It's a shallow bump - and feels sour to the taste. - Sensation is not lost. - most importantly, it is dark, blackish in appearance. (I am a smoker) Is there something to worry about? Concerned. Thank you for any replies...

Mam, the bump with sore taste shows, there is infection. This might be due to decay in some tooth or gum infection. Usually smokers have less pain sensation for the dental infection.
