Dandruff and Hairfall
I am experiencing severe hair fall from the past few months. It is accompanied by dandruff that flakes whenever I comb my hair. There is severe loss of hair each time I comb or wash. I used to take Zincofer and Biodoxi tablets for hair fall last year and stopped after 3 months when I could see visibly less hair falling. I am not sure why there is hair fall again.

There are many reasons for hair fall. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. You have taken vitamin tablets which will help only if the cause of hairfall is nutritional deficiency.
