Daily urcetaria occurance
I have sought doctors here for treatment of urtecaria in my 2.7 month old daughter. Doctors have suggested to give her levocet 2.5 ml per day whenever it occurs. However it occurs everyday and I am forced to give medicine to her. Is there any permanent treatment of it. Does homeopathy have any cure for this and can homeopathy be used for such a small baby

Urticaria in infants is usually allergic or infection-related and often self-limiting. Daily recurrence at this age warrants evaluation for triggers such as food allergy, milk intolerance, infection, or environmental factors.

I completely understand your concern. As a parent, giving an antihistamine every single day to a very small baby can feel worrying. Please be reassured — you are doing the right thing for now, and there are safer long-term approaches to explore. First, about the current treatment Levocetirizine is commo This medicine only suppresses symptoms It does not address the root cause That is why the urticaria keeps recurring when the effect wears offnly prescribed to control urticaria (hives) and it is generally safe even in young children when given in correct dose. However, as you’ve rightly noticed: Why urticaria keeps occurring in babies In infants, recurrent urticaria is usually due to: Immature immune system Sensitivity to foods (directly or through mother’s diet if breastfeeding) Environmental triggers (dust, temperature change, fabrics) Digestive immaturity Family history of allergies Does homeopathy help in such cases? 🌿 Yes. Homeopathy is very suitable and safe even for very small babies, when prescribed by a qualified doctor. From a homeopathic perspective: We don’t just treat the rash We work on the child’s immune sensitivity We aim to reduce dependence on antihistamines Treatment is gentle, non-toxic, and individualized Many infants with recurrent urticaria show: Reduced frequency of episodes Less severity Longer symptom-free intervals Gradual stopping of daily antihistamines (under guidance) Regards Dr Jyoti Kadkol Health Global Homoeopathy. www.healthglobalclinics.com

Dear Parent, I understand your concern..it can be very distressing to see such frequent urticaria in such a small baby. Important points first: • Daily urticaria in infants is often related to immature immunity, food sensitivity (directly or through breast milk), infections, or environmental triggers • Antihistamines like Levocetirizine help control symptoms but do not address the root cause, which is why the rashes keep recurring • Giving it occasionally as advised by your paediatrician is safe, but needing it daily indicates an underlying trigger Role of Homoeopathy: Homoeopathy can be safely used in infants, including newborns, when prescribed by a qualified homoeopathic physician. Treatment focuses on: • Reducing allergic tendency • Improving immune response • Addressing the root sensitivity rather than suppressing symptoms In infants, medicines are given in very gentle doses, and selection is based on: • Nature of rashes (red, pale, itchy, burning, better/worse by warmth) • Time and frequency of occurrence • Feeding history (breast/formula/any recent changes) • Family history of allergy, asthma, eczema Many babies show gradual reduction in frequency and intensity of urticaria with proper homoeopathic management.
Next Steps
For such a young baby, individualised assessment is very important. You may consult me through Practo for proper guidance and a safe treatment plan.
Health Tips
• Do not stop or alter paediatric medicines suddenly without guidance • Avoid self-medication in babies • A detailed case evaluation is essential before prescribing anything • Note any relation to feeds, formula changes, or maternal diet (if breastfeeding) • Avoid overdressing; heat can trigger urticaria • Use mild, fragrance-free clothes and detergents • Keep nails trimmed to prevent scratching If the baby develops breathing difficulty, swelling of lips/face, persistent vomiting, or fever, seek immediate paediatric care. With the right approach, this condition can be well managed safely.

In a 2.7-month-old baby, daily urticaria is usually due to allergy (commonly milk protein) or an immature immune system. Levocetirizine only controls symptoms; it is not a permanent cure. Permanent solution: - Identify and remove the trigger (milk, formula, or something through breast milk) - Many babies outgrow this as immunity matures Yes homoeopathy, can be used in infants . • Do NOT self-medicate such a small baby • There is no single fixed remedy; treatment is constitutional I’ll advice u to get a precised medicine for complete cure of Your child with a homoeopath u feel like cosulting with Can also consult me if you feel like doing
