Dear doctor Took my son for haircut yesterday. Barber used electric razor & scissors for his haircut. Today morning saw a small cut on his forehead.
Now I’m tensed . Can cut by the aforementioned cause HIV or hepatitis?

What is the age of the child and his vaccination status . Most likely he would have been immunized for Hepatitis B and Tetanus so those two are not a worry and if the barber has used fresh or well sterilized blade then HIV also should not be a problem . Just keep watch on the cut for development of any secondary bacterial infection for which antibiotics may ne needed
