Hi, my mother was.covid+ve in feb(asymptomatic). She was having heavy breathe and weakness for 2/3 days and was admitted in ICU. Now she is on ventilator/ oxygen alternatively. It's been 16 days now. CT scan says corad5 20/25.What is the usual time taken for recovery. No other complications. Tried plasma.. but dint work. Is phnemonia similar to Covid? Is phnemonia contagious? Usually how many days it takes to recover from phnemonia?

It's called post covid sequale, it ll take time to heal as lung ll be having post injury status and fibrosis, might need home oxygen for long tym if she is out of ventilator. Some patients ll tak 15days but it depends on each patient and lung injury
