COVID Test
My cook was exposed to one another family who had COVID. We have no symptoms but on the safer side, we're getting the RT-PCR test. However on my known ones mentioned that if it is very early stage the test may come out false negative. He asked us to monitor our health for the best 4-5 days and then go for test. Is he correct or should we get the test done.

No need to go for any test as there won't be any significant changes reflected on the test as it's too early. Best thing to do if you feel that you may have been in close contact is to isolate yourself and monitor your symptoms for a few days. If some symptoms appear then get in touch with doctor and start the treatment at the earliest.
Next Steps
meanwhile you can start preventive general therapy, which I can't prescribe here, please get in touch with me
