CT value shows Cycle Threshold. It signifies after how many cycles the virus becomes detectable in RTPCR. The higher the number of cycles, the lower is the viral load in the individual.
CT value of 35 shows that RTPCR is positive. A value higher than 35 is considered as negative in India.
CT value of 24 shows fair amount of severity even though it is not critical stage .He need not be hospitalized and can be at home in isolation.
it represents the cycle threshold values..meaning how quick the virus got detected..lower the value higher the load..useless predictor as there are thousands of rtpcr machines with different calibrations..go for symptomatic treatment only
I understood your concern and noted the problem as well .I need to ask few more details to make a diagnosis and start treatment and advice which suits you. Pl consult me on Practo , so that I can help you better.book a time slot as per your convenience for consultation.
CT value of rtpcr doesn't tell anything about severity.
It just tells about the Viral load.
Higher the value less is the Viral load.
Not so significant.
Don't need to worry about it.
Take paracetamol with vit c zinc some antihistaminic with antiinflammatory medicines.
Gargle with warm salt water 3 times in a day.
Isolation.
Drink plenty of water with ORS
