I have noticed in my work that generally you can't prevent the baby from getting infected of the mother is. And a one year old is highly dependent on you. Don't worry. Keep calm. Look for the regular symtoms, fever, cough, flu like symptoms. Most children, mind you, I say most, usually have very mild symptoms. But stay alert. And for your satisfaction you may get the child tested as well after 5-7 days of suspected first exposure. It will be done as it was for you with a nasopharyngeal/ oropharyngeal swab
Next Steps
Take all precautions you did befor you contracted covid. keep the child hydrated. please feel free to contact me if you need further assistance.
