Covid and Diabeties
My Father in law, age 60, was tested covid positive on 2nd june. His fever has subsided but has high level of sugar. He has been taking gluconom PG2 since 2 years daily 1 tab. Since last 3 days he have doubled the dose and giving 2 tab daily. But his random sugar is around 300. Can anybody give us online consultation or guide relating to this ?

Fevers or stressor will increase sugars...insulin is the best thing to give at those times on supervision wherever feasible... But diabetic medications need a careful watch...before changing
