Hi Doctor,
Recently my mum is diagnosed with diabetes and her diabetes is around 350 after food intake. She is taking diabetic tablets since last 3 days. Is it safe to take covaxin or covishield as she is taking tablets since from last 3 days or can we stop the tablet for one day and take the vaccine?

There is no need to stop taking anti-diabetic medications for taking COVID vaccine shot.
There is no such guideline.
She can take it safely

Diabetes medicine has to be continued. She will have to take the vaccine along with the medicine. Covaxin or Covishield, she can take whichever is being given at the Center. I hope it is her first dose.
