Counselling during breast cancer treatme
My mother ( 54 years age) is undergoing breast cancer treatment. Her surgery was done in october. Her chemotherapy has just completed. Her radiotherapy is going to start from 25th may. She's not feeling fine mentally these days. She keeps breaking down... She's also experiencing some strange kind of fear... Sometimes she gets up in the middle of her sleep very scared. I feel she needs some help to feel positive. Kindly guide.

She needs to be evaluated by a psychiatrist or Clinical Psychologist.it is very common to have emotional break down during post operative, chemotherapy. She could be helped with proper treatment planning by a team of oncologist and clinical psychologist.

Hello, Going through chemotherapy can be very stressful for the patient to deal with.Patient experiences so many emotions at the same time.Consult a clinical psychologist who would work on her copings to get her going and management of anxiety.

Yes u r right she has felling fear due to all surgery and weakness. She need help like who can correct her thoughts. Yiu people can talk with her calmly and can book a session with me so dat a can council her and can help her to make her positive .
