Hi
There are variety of cooking oils
Groundnut oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, etc
Would like to know which oils are best suited ..does it depend on the season or something else
My parents are diabetics, have cholestorol issues and Dad is a heart patient
Rest of the family members are in 40s and 30s
Can you pls recommend how can we choose our oils throughout the year
We are also planning to start buying oils from ghani directly instead of buying the branded refined oils
Thanks

Groundnut oils should be a great option for the parents who are diabetic, it helps to balance the blood glucose level
And also use alternatives like mustard ,sesame, coconut oils

Usage of any oil in large quantity may damage your health..you must adjust in cooking recipe like less oil or no oil recipe...if possible take desi cow ghee instead of buffalo ghee.. which has high cholesterol compared to cow ghee.
Next Steps
If you want any no oil recipe or less oil..i will tell..for more information consult me.
Choosing oils for cooking depends mostly on place, season, time etc..In North India..mustard oil js best with occasional use of desi ghee for dal tadka etc
Next Steps
Always keep a balanced approach and use accordingly
Ok noted ur concern about addressing health concerns with diet specialy by oil u can have oilmof ur choice which ur family using since u n those well known.
Usually in south coconut oil is best central India ground nut oil and in North mustered oil is fine.
Balanced diet, exercise calming sleep and productively engaged Happy mind is the way to be fit
Oil should be chosen based on season, body type (prakriti)& health condition
In winter-use mustard oil or sesame (til) oil - good for heart health
In summer- groundnut oil is best for daily cooking, Coconut oil can be used occasionally
Avoid regular use of sunflower oil (too
much may increase inflammation) -not ideal for heart patient
500 ml oil per person per month is enough
