Continusely redness on backside of throa
Hello Doctor. From the past 1 and half months, the back of my throat has been constantly red. My throat feels dry and I also feel little pain. Recently I have noticed white and little peeled skin under my lower lip.I have taken medicines in which antibiotics, pain reliever and steroids was added. But kush fark nahi dikh raha.  I don't drink alcohol and have never used any other kind of intoxicant. I have taken the 4 ARV shots in Jan due to little puppy bite me in the foots toe, Although there was no skin tear or wound, I just felt a little pain, so I got it applied as a precaution. After some time I had a cold, the cough and cold got cured but this throat problem has persisted since then. Pls guide me and suggest the correct medicine.

The persistence of your throat symptoms for 1.5 months, especially after using antibiotics and steroids, suggests that the issue may not be a simple bacterial infection. The "white and peeled skin" you noticed under your lip is a significant clinical clue. Clinical Impression: Oral Candidiasis (Thrush): Use of steroids and antibiotics can trigger an overgrowth of yeast (fungus) in the mouth and throat, causing redness, dryness, and white patches. Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR): Chronic throat redness and dryness are often caused by "silent reflux" of stomach acid into the throat, which does not always feel like typical heartburn. Vitamin Deficiency: Persistent oral mucosal changes can sometimes be linked to deficiencies in B-complex vitamins or iron. Next Steps & Recommendations: Physical Examination: It is essential to have a doctor (General Physician or ENT specialist) physically examine the white patches. If they can be easily scraped off, it further points toward a fungal infection. Diagnostic Tests: A Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Vitamin B12/Iron profile are recommended to rule out underlying deficiencies. Oral Hygiene: Stop any further self-medication with antibiotics or steroids. Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater 2–3 times daily. Use a soft toothbrush and avoid spicy or acidic foods that irritate the mucosa. Consultation: I recommend a formal consultation to confirm if an antifungal mouth paint or oral gel (like Clotrimazole or Miconazole) is required. If reflux is suspected, a course of Antacids/PPIs may be necessary.

The Anti Rabies Vaccine doesn't cause long term throat problems. Your issues likely started from the cold you had afterward.
Next Steps
Since this lasted for 1.5 months, it is best to see an ENT doctor for physical examination

-Your symptoms suggest chronic throat irritation rather than an acute infection -Common causes include post nasal drip, allergy, acid reflux or dryness of throat -Long duration redness with dryness and mild pain is less likely to be bacterial infection especially since antibiotics did not help -White peeled skin under lip may be due to local dryness, fungal infection or vitamin deficiency -Recent cold may have triggered persistent throat sensitivity
Next Steps
Need to take -CBC -Vitamin B12 levels -Throat swab if symptoms persist -Laryngoscopy if no improvement Take -Tab Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily before breakfast for 14 days -Tab Levocetirizine 5 mg once daily at night for 7 days -Capl Vitamin B complex once daily for 15 days -Betadine gargle twice daily for 7 days
Health Tips
-Avoid spicy and oily food -Drink warm fluids -Maintain oral hygiene -Avoid late meals -Steam inhalation contact me anytime on practo for further consultation
