Yes, Amla is safe for daily use and is very beneficial for digestion, immunity, skin and hair growth when taken in the right amount. For adults around 30 years, 1–2 teaspoons (about 3–5 g) of Amla powder once daily with lukewarm water or mixed with honey is ideal. For children around 9 years, the dose should be smaller, about ½–1 teaspoon (1–2 g) daily, preferably with honey or warm water. It is best taken in the morning or daytime, not late at night, and should be avoided on an empty stomach if there is a tendency for acidity. Fresh Amla fruit or juice can also be used whenever available.
