He has jaundice with pancreatitis. We admitted him in hospital where he was treated for 9 days and his bilirubin was 14.39 and After 3 days when we tested his bilirubin it increased to 24.6 then again the next day we took another test for clarification which reported 20.4 and then again after 3 days when we tested it became 28.9
We are not able to understand what's going on why is it increasing then decreasing, then again increasing. We are referring him to CMC, Vellore. What should we do next???

Hi.. Jaundice in Pancreatitis could be because of multiple reasons like biliary obstruction, sepsis and underlying liver disease.
It is very important to know the cause for pancreatitis. A good cross sectional imaging like CE MR abdomen with MRCP would be helpful in deciding the further course action.
I'm sure CMC guys will do the needful.
