Constant allergic cough for more than 5

Asked for Male, 38 Years

My family member has an old allergic cough for the last 5 years. We have tried so many treatments but result is always nil. The patient is so tired and depressed and also lost health. Also he is not financially strong so that he could get a good treatment. He gets cough attack anytime and it lasts for hours. Kindly help in this regard

The triggering factor for the cough has to be identified.Usually the Skin prick test for allergens is the best to identify the allergic cause.If identified then immunotherapy will be useful. It doesn't cost much. There is a possibility of acidity and reflux causing the cough.This cough comes after an hour after going to bed. This is can be tackled by using antacids.
