Cold to a baby
Hello doctors, my baby is 28 days old.. She caught minor cold symptoms.. Her nose makes sound at night due to which she unable to sleep.. Kindly suggest any home remedy to cure.. Im using nasal drops but its not working. Im worried for her.

Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are  usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used  in a proper dose  for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Give normal saline nasal drops 2 to 3 hourly preferably before feeding the baby.

Increase the frequency of saline nasal drops to 3-4 hourly. Massage the nasal area after putting drops. Suction the nose with a suction bulb.
