I am suffering from closed comedones that don't go away. I have tried facials. After facial my face stays good only for a week. After that I am getting small small bumps filled with white substance all over my cheeks. Fed up with that. Is there no permanent cure for this issue?

• This is closed comedonal acne (whiteheads) – very common and recurrent
• Facials give only temporary relief → they don’t treat the root cause (clogged pores)
• There is no “permanent cure”, but it can be very well controlled long-term
Next Steps (Treatment Plan)
• Morning:
– Gentle cleanser (salicylic acid 1–2%)
– Oil-free moisturizer
– Sunscreen SPF 50 (non-comedogenic)
• Night:
– Cleanser
– Adapalene 0.1% gel (pea-sized, full face, not spot)
– Start alternate nights → after 4-6 weeks… start daily
• Optional add-on (if needed):
– Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% (morning or spot)
– Niacinamide serum (oil control + anti-inflammatory)
Helpful Tips / Word of Caution
• Initial worsening (purging) for 2–4 weeks is normal with adapalene
• Results take 6–8 weeks minimum
• Avoid frequent facials / scrubbing → worsens comedones
• Avoid heavy creams, oils, pore-clogging makeup
• Use only non-comedogenic products
• Don’t pick/squeeze → causes marks

Frequent and good face wash should be used which strip off the excess sebum as comedones occur if sebaceous glands are blocked, and recurrence is common
