Chronic telogen effluvium or alopecia?
I have always had a thick head of hair until 2.5 years back, when I had a bout of dengue and had been living in a PG and eating crappy food. My hair fall started then and has persisted since. My hair density has decreased to about 30% of what it was and though the hair fall has slightly lessened last November, it's still worrying.

Hi thanks for the query..CTE or female pattern baldness are two types of hair fall seen in women.most of the times CTE is reversible and helps in hair increasing its girth and length. Pattern Alopecia can be controlled with different medications.kindly contact me at my clinic in Bangalore or online for a detailed evaluation of the hair loss and start with a Treatment plan.also please send me your latest blood tests of you have like thyroid profile ,iron profile etc.thank you.
