I treat 10 urticaria patients everyday. Who told you there is no treatment for this. Don't you think cetirizine helps you keeping the hives down. There are few better antihistamines which can keep your hives controlled other that cetirizine and they do not cause drowsiness. Common causes of urticaria are food allergy, infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes which we call hives or wheals. Although in most cases cause remains unknown in spite of a thorough search. It can be symptomatically treated with antihistamines so that you do not get any new hives. The treatment should be prolonged until it resolves which usually takes 1 to 6 months. In very few cases, it continues for years and you are one of them. But you will not get these hives if you take treatment. The cause for the hives is mostly unknown and treatment makes life better. Please contact me through online consult option for further details and treatment.
