Chronic acne. Diagnosed with cystic acne
I m an acne vulgaris case. Took treatment of isotretinoin fr 8 months in last 3yrs. Bt still having acne on my face. They reoccur aftr some time aftr i hv stopped taking any medicines or ointments. Cheeks r heavily scarred due to this. Never took chemical peels. Plz suggest some less severe medicines thn isotretinoin. What shld i do to keep acne at bay. I wash my face thrice a day with clean n clear and use moiste as moisturizer. Not a makeup person.

if your having cystic acne means it is severe. Isotretioin is the US FDA approved treatment for this kind of acne. Acne is an individual tendancy and stays for a few years. Also get a androgenic hormonal workup done to rule out secondary causes. Hope this was helpful.
