My relatives had laparoscopic cholecystectomy on Tuesday. Today( Friday) I removed the bandage and apply t bact locally ( t bact is applied twice daily locally... Written on prescription). Actually I didn't hear the exact instructions of doctor. Am I doing right? Thread is seen. Is it good to keep open the wound or after applying ointment should I apply gauze and micropore??

Hello
From what you mention it sounds like a clean wound
So what you’re doing is right
But if you are still concerned you can go ahead with applying a sam dressing with Hansaplast (bandage according to size) and make sure the dressing is changed every alternate day.
Best is to keep the wound dry after a bath and cleaning of the wound followed by application of the ointment

Hello.
Keep the wound open unless there is some discharge( like fluid or pus).
Once a day application of ointment is enough. Make sure next time you apply ointment, the previous ointment residue should be cleaned. Dont apply over and over again, it will cause infection.
Regarding thread, in next follow up, the operated surgeon will take care.
