My father is suffering from Bille duct cancer final stage now , As my doctor was done PTBD procedure of metallic stenting into previous stent (same mettalic) at the Left hepatic duct which was not clear and bile got blocked and leaks me for that my doctor done 4 punctures to the stomach so it is infected due that bile now we are using antibiotics ,WBC count is 17000
Before it's 38000 also he is suffering from fever in the night and jaundice is 14.5 mg
Legs got swelling ,we are using antibiotics for complications
I have doubt that my doctor was not placed stent properly or the Any complication is there don't know
I am awaiting for your suggestions please

I am sorry for the condition of the patient. He needs a good interventional Radiologist to put PTBD. If stent is functioning then the bilirubin levels and liver function tests will improve. His jaundice will gradually come down. Do not expect dramatic recovery after immediate stenting. Cholangiocarcinoma is a bad disease and difficult to treat.
